Sunrise students perform with all-state choir
Sunrise Elementary School music teacher Kaelyn Rich has directed not only Sunrise Singers, but All-State Choir as well.
Baylee Crispen and Harper Hockemeier, fourth- and fifth-grade students, were both excited to participate in the All-State Children’s Choir.
Rich earned her education from Northwest Missouri State University and is currently in her second year at the elementary school.
“I am excited that Harper and Baylee have this incredible opportunity. It’s amazing how much they have grown since the beginning of the school year,” the teacher said before the All-State event.
“They have become stronger singers and better musicians because of this opportunity and others. I am excited about the new people they will get to meet and the lifechanging experience of making music with singers from all over Missouri,” she said.
“I am excited about being selected, getting to meet new people and improving our voices,” said Hockemeier.
