Richmond is no longer undefeated in varsity 11-man football. 

The Spartans fell 35-26 to Lafayette County of Higginsville Sept. 24. Richmond coach Nick Persell stressed that his players take from the homecoming and Missouri River Valley Conference East Division loss the lesson that they are not invincible.
