The stadium at Hardin-Central has a new name. 

On Sept. 10, following Norborne Hardin-Central's 64-0 loss to North Shelby in varsity 8-man football, the facility was officially christened Gary O'Neal Stadium to honor the longtime coach and teacher, who won two state Class 1A 11-man football titles at Hardin-Central. Naming the stadium follows the christening of the football field as Lee Meador Field several years ago, done in tribute to the longtime Richmond News sports editor.
