Area high schools are back on the gridiron. 

Week 1 of the prep football season was last week. Norborne Hardin-Central and Orrick started their respective varsity 8-man football seasons Aug. 27 at home, with NHC hosting Kansas City East Christian at Hardin-Central and Orrick hosting St. Paul Lutheran of Concordia at Simmons Field.
