Spring sports are officially underway. 

Ray County schools had their first competitions this week. Or in some cases, had their first competitions of the spring season scheduled, but had to postpone or cancel some of them because of the weather -- a reminder, perhaps, that Missouri is still transitioning from winter to spring. 

In keeping with the transition, we at the Richmond News present a few final photographic mementos from one of the last events of the winter sports season: the Class 1 state wrestling tournament. Here are some images of two of Richmond's place matches, captured by sports editor Shawn Roney.
