Richmond has officially completed its fiscal year 2026 Street Overlay and Reconstruction Project, bringing approximately 7.75 centerline miles of street improvements to neighborhoods across the city.

The Richmond City Council formally acknowledged completion of the project during a recent meeting, approving a $41,171.38 change order with Emery Sapp and Sons, the final pay application and the project’s closeout.

The project included approximately 7.75 centerline miles of street improvements throughout the city, including full-depth reconstruction, mill-and-overlay work, and improvements at Maurice Roberts Park.

Improvements were completed on streets throughout Richmond, including portions of South Camden, North Main, East Main, South Wellington, South Lexington, South, Institute, North Thornton, Benton, and Crispin streets, as well as Spartan and Valley drives.
