Richmond musician takes part in regional concert

A Richmond musician is preparing to join performers from across Missouri in a summer concert celebrating American music. The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra (GRVCO) will present its annual Summer Concert, “A Celebration of American Music,” at 7 p.m. on June 20, at the Trenton R-IX Performing Arts Center. The concert will serve as the organization’s final performance of its 17th season and commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary with a variety of patriotic and American-themed musical selections. Richmond resident Ben Suchman is a double bass player in the orchestra. “I joined the group before the winter 2024 concert,” said Suchman. “This will be my fourth concert as part of the orchestra.
