With summer activities coming up, the Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce has prepared for fall and winter events for the community by hiring a new activities director. So far, native Ray Countian Jayne Taylor said she is loving it. “After working in a school district, I was looking for something with a challenge, a lot of fun and somewhere I could meet many people each day,” she explained. Taylor left Richmond to attend college and then spent time away with family. Ultimately, the family decided Richmond was the place to be again. Her husband, Darroll Ruark and sons, Dillon, D.J. and Jacob, supported her career change. Taylor said she is most excited about community events and bringing people together. She will work with business ribbon cuttings, after-hour events, quarterly luncheons, first Friday donuts and meetand greets.
