Ray County community recently voiced concerns regarding taxpayer money allegedly being used in areas it’s not allocated in the budget. Ray County Prosecuting investigator Heidi Morgan made an appearance at last week’s County Commissioners meeting to debunk rumors about being a bodyguard and chauffeur to Ray County Prosecuting Attorney Camile Johnston. While no citizens attended the meeting to speak about the rumors, Morgan herself denied them after reading a recent Facebook post. The Facebook post in question was made by Jim Murray and states, “Who can show up to the County Commission meeting tomorrow and ask the commissioners when they gave a budget for someone to drive Camille Johnston around, apparently her investigator is now playing bodyguard, I spoke to one commissioner that said there is no money in the budget for that, and the citizens have every right to come to the meeting and ask the question.” Once the meeting began, County Commissioner Dave Powell asked if anyone had…
