A traffic stop, high-speed chase and search finally ended with a Kansas City resident being tagged with 25 charges. According to Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers, in late December, the Missouri State High Patrol attempted to stop a stolen KS vehicle on Hwy 10, driven by Derek Rudroff, 41, of Kansas City, Kan. At this time, Missouri State High Patrol could not release the make and model information of the vehicle. “The vehicle did pull over and the driver rolled his passenger window down,” said the sheriff. “Rudroff never saw him on the passenger side window, so the patrolman knocked on the window and the driver took off.” The pursuit began traveling east on 10 Hwy, taking the Richmond exit across 13 Hwy and then back up the 10 Hwy exit going back to 10 Hwy. “That’s when he wrecked, on the ramp going back on 10,” said Childers.
