Near Dear Elementary in Richmond, construction fences are erected for the Early Childhood Center (ECC) coming 2025. Dear Elementary Principal Dr. Marlaine Boyd spoke about a recent meeting with CB Construction Services (CBCS), the construction team and their work on the site. “So far there isn’t a lot to see that is new, but they have done lots of site work,” she said, explaining CBCS removed the original parking lot where the new ECC will be located. “CBCS is also planning coordination with the water department over some underground water lines, and working closely with Evergy Electric to service power to the site as well as planning for the new transformer,” said Boyd. The next order of business will be removing the dock delivery ramp and relocating more underground items near the area. “We are eager to see their hard work begin to take shape into an actual new struc- ture,” she added.
