Aldrich to face White for Ray County presiding commissioner
Ben Aldrich secured the Republican nomination for Ray County presiding commissioner after defeating Gary Wilhite and Brianna Rock in the Aug. 4 Primary Election.
Ray County saw moderate voter participation in the August election, with unofficial results showing 33.99% of registered voters cast ballots across all precincts. Of the 15,672 registered voters, 5,323 cast ballots in the election.
Ben Aldrich received 1,412 votes (42.96%). Gary Wilhite received 1,174 votes (35.72%), while Brianna Rock received 701 votes (21.33%). A total of 3,287 votes were cast in the race. Aldrich will face Independent candidate Ron White in the Nov. 3 General Election.
Lyndsey Church won the Republican nomination for Ray County Clerk, receiving 2,101 votes (65.25%) to Kurt Croix’s 1,119 votes (34.75%). A total of 3,220 votes were cast in the race.
