COLUMBIA – Richmond senior Conner Teat felt hyped about ending his wrestling career on a high note, particularly when he considered what hitting that note took. Teat placed third in the 132-pound division at the Class 1 state tournament, held Feb. 17-19 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. He capped his run by pinning Holden’s Logan Yoder in 1 minute, 17 seconds. “I’ve seen him through high school,” Teat said. “I’ve pinned him through high school. The only time I didn’t was when we dualled them last. I just … needed to wrestle. I needed to wrestle (as me being) me.” To reach that match, Teat had to rebound from a loss by pin to Marco Dalakishvili of St. Pius X of Kansas City in the winner’s bracket quarterfinals that sent him to the consolation bracket. “To lose in the quarters and bounce back and place third and take the best thing you can get after losing (at) state is the best feeling,” he said. “I mean, that’s where tough guys are – is third place.” In addition, Teat had to face…
