CARROLLTON – Richmond can claim another Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC) East Division title. This time, it’s in middle school boys track. Spurred by victories in four events, the young Spartans won the title Monday at Carrollton, tallying 119 points – 15 points ahead of runner-up Knob Noster. Austin Summers set the pace by winning the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 23.25 seconds and 1,600 in 5:39.69. The middle-school Spartans also got wins from Dryden Hendrix and Cale Moyer. Hendrix won the long jump by leaping 4.92 meters. Moyer took the triple jump by leaping 11.19. VARSITY BOYS Richmond claimed two event victories in the varsity boys meet. Senior Dayne Loftin leaped 12.69 to take the triple jump. Jacob Johnson took the long jump by leaping 5.62. Loftin and Johnson were among three Spartans to finish in the top four in two individual events for the Richmond varsity boys, who finished fifth in the team standings with 78 points.
