Richmond golfer finishes among top 50 in Missouri
BOLIVAR – For the second straight season, Richmond’s Kennedy Wrisinger was among the state’s top 50 girls golfers in Class 1.
Wrisinger, a junior, placed 46th among 82 golfers at the Class 1 state tournament, held Monday and Tuesday at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club. Playing in the 2020 tournament at Smithville, she finished in a threeway tie for 38th.
Wrisinger secured her latest top-50 finish by shooting a 215. She shot a 110 (+38) for her first par-72, 18-hole round, then shot a 105 (+33).
Wrisinger was among three Richmond girls playing at Bolivar. Senior Tori Bowman, making her second straight state appearance, shot a 250 to tie Gallatin’s Courtney Crose for 78th. Junior Zalie Gregory, a firsttime state qualifier, shot a 259 and placed 81st.
