Richmond boys pummel Oak Grove to open tourney
RICHMOND – Senior guard Spencer Wolf and his fellow Spartans felt anxious to play basketball again when they took the court Tuesday to open the Richmond Winter Classic.
And they channeled their eagerness into pummeling Oak Grove 82-31.
Before Tuesday, the Spartans had last played Jan. 14, when they ground out a win over Chillicothe for the Lawson Invitational Basketball Tournament championship. A COVID outbreak in the Richmond School District forced the postponement of last week’s winter sports activities.
