RHS alum hopes signing will begin football ‘pipeline’

A recent act by Bryer Farnan might be the start of a relationship between Richmond High School and Central Methodist University (CMU) when it comes to athletics. Farnan, who’ll graduate in May from Richmond, has signed a letter of intent to play football at CMU, an NAIA-affiliated school in Fayette, where he plans to study business. Those attending Farnan’s Feb. 25 signing ceremony in the high school gym included Jameson Allen. A 1988 Richmond graduate and former CMU player, Allen coaches CMU’s defensive backs. “Being from here, I wanted to make sure that I got a chance to come here and do the actual signing,” Allen said. “It’s an honor. It’s awesome.
