WESTON – Korbin Pugh will run for Hardin-Central in at least one more race. Pugh, who graduated May 8, qualified for this weekend’s Class 1 state track and field meet in Jefferson City by placing second in the 100-meter dash in 11.22 seconds at Sectional 3 competition, hosted May 14 by West Platte High School. The top four finishers in each event qualified. The performance followed Pugh’s school record-setting and event-winning performance May 7 at Class 1 District 6 competition on the Midway School District campus. Pugh was the lone Bulldog to qualify. The Bulldogs nearly made the cut with their 3,200 relay team, which placed fifth in 9:26.05.
