Orrick falls to Braymer in finale for Miller, Harris

When Orrick’s varsity boys basketball season ended Feb. 22 with a 69-53 loss to Braymer at Norborne in the Class 1 District 13 Tournament semifinals, the high school careers of “two key players” also ended, according to junior Logan Smith – Jaxon Miller and Jonathon Harris. “We’re going to miss them a lot,” Smith said. Miller, who surpassed 1,000 career points in November 2023, scored 20 points to pace Orrick in his high school finale, including 12 second-half points. He was among two Bearcats in double figures. Smith contributed 12 points – all from three-pointers. Other scorers were Trent Windsor with eight points, Harris with seven, Xavior Gaskins with three, Parker Floyd with two and Tucker Greer with one. Dakota Brandon led Braymer with 25 points and was among three Bobcats in double figures.
