Hoeper gets younger ’Dawgs court time at Lawson

New Hardin-Central varsity boys basketball coach August Hoeper made sure some of his younger Bulldogs got some game-style reps Monday in summer-league play at Lawson. “We have 12 kids coming to this Lawson league and it’s hard to sub in those other seven guys off the bench. So I usually like to get them a lot of playing time in during the summer to help them build their game and … develop their skills,” said Hoeper, who was the assistant coach to former Hardin-Central head coach Brent Behler for two seasons. That was particularly true during Hardin-Central’s 41-36 loss to Polo in the Lawson Middle School gym – the first of two afternoon games the Bulldogs played.
