Graves, Dalle flip-flop Richmond XC coaching positions

Richmond’s cross country coaching staff has done some role reversal this season. Sara Dalle, the head coach the past two seasons, has switched from that position to assistant coach. Her successor is Jordan Graves – her assistant the past two seasons. While serving under Dalle, Graves learned “some leadership qualities” from her, he said during an Aug. 15 practice at the high school. “I picked up quite a bit on her enthusiasm and (the) positivity that she brought,” Graves said. This is Graves’ first head coaching gig. “I love it,” he said. “It’s been a great experience so far, and I can’t wait to kind of see where the future takes us. I think we have a lot of potential and I’m excited to see where it leads.” Graves takes over a program with roughly 15 runners, counting middle schoolers, he estimated.
