Democratic voters will choose between two candidates seeking their party’s nomination for Missouri State Auditor in the Aug. 4 primary election.

Gregory Upchurch and Quentin Wilson are seeking the Democratic nomination. The winner will advance to the Nov. 3 general election. Incumbent Scott Fitzpatrick

and Gerald Wistrand Jr. are seeking the Republican nomination, while Dustin Coffell is a Libertarian candidate.

Upchurch, 57, is the proprietor of the Grand Opera House Banquet Center in St. Charles. He holds a master’s degree in public administration and said he has owned his current business for 16 years. He was born in Missouri and has lived in the state consistently for the past 18 years.
