Software issues lead to change in jail management system
A planned conversion of the Ray County Jail’s management software has been scrapped after sheriff’s office officials reported problems with the project and selected a different provider.
Earlier this year, Ray County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) officials informed commissioners they planned to add a jail management module to the department’s existing Omnigo software platform, which is already used for patrol and investigations. However, Lt. Col. Tom Noon told commissioners the implementation process failed to meet the department’s needs, prompting officials to terminate the project and move forward with a different software provider.
The sheriff’s office has instead selected Cadmus as its new jail management system.
