Hardin-Central graduates step into next chapter

Laughter, reflection and advice for the future shaped Hardin-Central’s commencement ceremony as the class of 2026 celebrated graduation alongside family, teachers and classmates. The ceremony, held on Mother’s Day for Hardin-Central’s 17 graduating seniors, combined humor, nostalgia and encouragement as speakers reflected on the class’s growth from elementary school through high school. Graduates were urged to value genuine connection, think independently and prepare for the challenges ahead. Superintendent Austin Purvis welcomed attendees by reflecting on the years that led to commencement and the effort required for students to reach the milestone together. “Today is more than just a ceremony. It’s the culmination of 13 years of hard work, growth, challenges and achievement,” said Purvis. “These graduates didn’t just arrive at this moment by chance.
