Quick looks to continue hoops career at SFCC

Nolan Quick got his wish. Quick, who graduated high school last week from Richmond, was seeking to continue his basketball career at a school near his hometown. “I don’t want to go anywhere too far,” he said. Thus, when State Fair Community College offered Quick the opportunity to play for its men’s team, he accepted. Sedalia, where State Fair is based, is 72.4 miles from Richmond, according to Google Maps. But the location wasn’t the only reason Quick chose State Fair. Because the school is affiliated with the A + Scholarship Program, he can attend tuition-free, he said May 4 in the Richmond High School gym following a ceremony celebrating his decision.
