DISTRICT CHAMPIONS Orrick can add another district title to its boys track and field banner. The Bearcats won the boys portion of the Class 1 District 4 meet, held May 9 at Carrollton, with 85 points – their fourth straight district title. Records on mo.milesplit.com and athletic.net state they won three straight Class 1 District 7 titles before this season. Parker Floyd, Trent Windsor and Lucas Walker, who are scheduled to formally graduate high school Sunday, led the Orrick boys to their latest title. Floyd won the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.14 seconds and the 300 intermediate hurdles in 42.36. Windsor won the shot put by throwing 14.13 meters. Walker won the javelin by throwing 50.07. With the wins, Floyd, Walker and Windsor each qualified for Class 1 Sectional 2 competition Saturday in Centralia.
