Kaylor is MRVC champ, co-champ at Richmond Invitational

Chances are, Richmond junior Isaac Kaylor didn’t complain much about his round of golf on May 1 – or his round on Monday. Playing last week in the Richmond Invitational at Shirkey Golf Course, Kaylor shot a 73 (+2) for 18 holes. In doing so, he tied Maryville’s Colin Hoffman for the individual championship. “I didn’t really care about my score,” Kaylor said. “I just had a lot of fun. And I think that was a big thing – I just wasn’t worrying.” Kaylor “had a great round,” Richmond boys golf coach Brandon Rittmiller said. “He started on a tough hole that he double-bogeyed and battled back from that and ended up shooting two over the whole round and taking first against a tough 125 players out here,” Rittmiller said. The “tough hole” where Kaylor began was hole No. 13, Rittmiller recalled.
