Bulldogs have their eyes on conference, state prizes

As with recent campaigns, Hardin-Central headed east to start its 2026 track and field season. The Bulldogs opened with the Carrollton Early Bird competition, racking up 13 top-four finishes at the March 26 meet. The boys tallied nine top-four finishes, including a win by senior Kaden McGinnnis in the 200-meter dash. On the girls side, the Bulldogs were runners-up in the 400 relay, took third in the 1,600 relay and produced third-place finishers in two individual events. Hardin-Central was slated to kick off this week with a meet Tuesday at Lathrop. The Bulldogs are scheduled to conclude the week Friday with a competition at Concordia.
