On Jan. 31, Richmond graduate Keyshaun Elliott got another opportunity to display his defensive skills for pro football coaches and staff members.
Elliott, who recently declared for the NFL draft after finishing his senior season at Arizona State University, was credited with four tackles in the Panini Senior Bowl, including two solo tackles. His contributions helped Team American edge Team National 17-9 in the annual all-star showcase, held in Mobile, Ala.
Elliott, a linebacker, was among six Team American players with four tackles.
Quintayvious Hutchins, a defensive lineman from Boston College, led the squad with five total tackles.
THEY WIN AGAIN
Richmond has secured another tournament title this varsity boys wrestling season.
Tallying 166.5 points, the Spartans took the team championship Jan. 31 at the Highway 13 Throwdown, hosted by Lafayette County of Higginsville. Centralia was the runner-up with 135.5 points.
