Zoning workflow proposal draws county discussion

A proposal to modernize the way Ray County’s Planning and Zoning regulations are accessed and reviewed was recently presented to commissioners with an emphasis on transparency, navigation and document tracking. The proposal was brought forward by Ray County resident Kurt Croix, who demonstrated a digital system designed to reorganize existing regulations without changing their content. The platform Croix demonstrated was GitHub, a collaboration and documentation tool used by developers and organizations to manage and track changes to shared content. According to the company, GitHub supports collaboration and secure development by allowing teams to review, document and manage revisions within a structured system.
