Genealogical Association announces new leadership

The Ray County Genealogical Association will begin 2026 with a new Board of Directors. Cathy Gottsch will assume the role of president. Gottsch has served as curator of the Ray County Museum and has been a member of the association since 2019. Jarodd Stansberry has been named secretary after serving four years as president. New members joining the board include Brenda Hamm and Keesha Johnson. Stansberry will also take over as editor of the organization’s newsletter, Reflections. The publication was previously edited by Lisa Smalley, who had been writing the newsletter since 1999. Reflections highlights historical and genealogical items connected to Ray County’s history and is designed to assist individuals researching their family histories while also serving as a resource for readers interested in local history.
