UNBEATABLE The Richmond Middle School girls A basketball team refused to be defeated the final week of the regular season. The young Spartans went 4-0 for the week, starting Jan. 12 with a 30-12 home victory over Knob Noster. Eva Moyer led the hosts with 12 points. Sammie Corbett led Knob Noster with six points. On Jan. 14, the Richmond girls cruised to a 26-15 win over visiting Odessa. Taylin Jennings led the young Spartans with 11 points. Alea Jeffrey paced the young Bulldogs with six points. Next, Richmond drubbed Holden 38-15 Jan. 15. Moyer powered the girls to their home victory with 12 points. Rhemi McCormick dropped in five points to lead Holden. Led by 16 points from Jennings, the young Spartans posted a 41-28 win Jan. 16 at Lexington. Kennedy Beal paced Lexington with nine points. As Spartans coach Megan Blankenship stated via email, the Richmond girls conclude their season this week with the Missouri River Valley Conference-East Division Tournament. Seeded second,…
