Council advances roof project, utility upgrades
A planned overhaul of the municipal complex roof will move forward after the Richmond City Council approved a $214,650 restoration contract at a recent meeting. The decision followed a review of multiple proposals outlining repair needs, coating systems and long-term maintenance expectations for the building. The roof has undergone partial repairs in recent years, but staff said a full restoration was necessary to address leaks, aging materials and performance issues.
Richmond City Council members considered the recommendation after staff evaluated four project bids, ranging from isolated repairs to complete restoration systems.
