Ray County commissioners are planning to prepare an objection letter connected to a proposed battery storage project after residents pressed for clarity, raised safety concerns and questioned possible annexation during a recent meeting. Ray County Sheriff’s Office Major Tom Noon, who was recently appointed as the county’s emergency management director, told commissioners he had just begun reviewing information about the project this week and needed more time to understand its potential risks.
