Murder charges filed in deadly confrontation
A Homestead Village alderman has pleaded not guilty after a deadly confrontation on Arapahoe Drive left a 43-yearold man shot to death.
Prosecutors allege that 55-year-old
Glen Michael Stice fired the fatal gunshots that killed Daniel Konrardy during a Nov. 12 incident in the neighborhood. Ray County deputies responded to the 500 block of Arapahoe Drive and found Konrardy unresponsive from gunshot wounds. Stice was located inside a nearby residence and taken into custody shortly afterward. He was later charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
Stice appeared this week by video in Ray County Circuit Court, where Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori Baskins ruled he could not be safely released. The court appointed the Public Defender’s Office to defend Stice after finding him indigent. He also appeared for a bond hearing this week; however information was not made available as of press time.
