BEVERLEE JUNE (BOWMAN) DUVALL
Beverlee June (Bowman) Duvall, 80, of Independence, formerly of Lexington, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will take place 1-2 p.m., immediately followed by a celebration of life at 2, on Friday, Nov. 14, at the Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Business Missouri Highway 13, Lexington. Inurnment will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington.

Beverlee was born March 26, 1945, in Kansas City to John Carey and Julia Marie (Kraft) Bowman. She graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence.
On March 18, 1962, Beverlee was united in marriage to James “Jim” Royle Duvall III in Rolla.
Beverlee dedicated more than 30 years of her life to the Internal Revenue Service, where she served as a tax examiner.
She attended Henrietta Baptist Church in Henrietta. Beverlee was a member of the Jaycee Wives Club and an active participant in the Ovarian Cancer Society, and enjoyed discovering her family history through genealogy. Her love for dance, the ocean and walking along the beach brought her immense joy, as did her adventures traveling to all but one of the 50 states.
Beverlee’s most treasured role was that of loving mother and grandmother.
Beverlee is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James “Jim” Royle Duvall III of the home; and two children, Piper Duvall (James) Sparks of Lake Viking and Brett Duvall of Liberty. She also is survived by five grandchildren: Robyn (Alfred) Tuwei of Kansas City; James Royle Duvall IV of Liberty; William Cullen Dean (Paxton) Bryant III of Blue Springs; Mariah Bryant and fiancé, Max Bennett, of Kansas City; and Lauren Bryant and fiancé, Kaleb Brooks, of Kansas City.
Other survivors include four great-grandchildren, Ajax Tuwei, Taraji Tuwei, Emma Davis and Ryker Dennis; two sisters, Johnna Johnson of Richmond and Lynne (Gary) Bales of Kansas City; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Beverlee was preceded in death by both of her parents.
