Nestled in the valleys surrounding the East Fork Fishing River, The Overlook at Crystal Lakes Mo. has quickly become a source of pride for Crystal Lakes. Once known simply as the city clubhouse, the property has been transformed into a timeless venue for weddings, retreats, reunions and special events – offering rustic charm with modern touches and wideopen views of the Missouri countryside. Crystal Lakes Mayor Jeremy Dorrel noted the idea came from wanting to find a creative way to generate revenue for the small lake community while preserving a historic piece of its landscape. “We had a building that they called the city clubhouse, and it did have rentals there, but not many at all,” said Dorrel. “It wasn’t quite renovated for that. I decided one way to create revenue for the city was to turn the one existing building we had into an event space.
