Orrick Lions Club celebrates milestone, looks ahead

The Orrick Lions Club marked its 75th anniversary with a celebration that drew members, guests and Lions leaders from across Missouri to honor decades of service and community spirit. The recent event was held at The Homeplace at Valley View Farm, where nearly 70 people gathered for dinner, visiting and an evening of reflection. “Everything went well for the 75th celebration,” said Lions Club affiliate Sally Vick. “The food was good, there’s lots of visiting. It was good to see people that we don’t see all the time from other clubs and the speakers were very interesting about their challenges and how they’ve overcome them and then motivating remarks to lead us in the future.” Guest speakers included Dan Meers, known to Kansas City Chiefs fans as KC Wolf; and Lions International Director Debbie Cantrell, both of whom shared deeply personal stories that inspired those in attendance. “Both of the speakers were very interesting about their lives and the challenges they’ve had in life,…
