New director carries on legacy at Eagleton Center

The laughter, meals and fellowship that define the Eagleton Center in Richmond continue under new leadership, even as the memory of longtime director Pat Mills remains ever present in the building she helped shape. Dave Donaldson began as director in late May, stepping into the role with both humility and determination. He acknowledges the challenge of following Mills, who served for more than a decade before her sudden passing in April, but he also sees the path she and others prepared for him to build upon. “Initially, following Pat Mills seemed like an enormous task,” said Donaldson. “But while interviewing with the Senior Center Board and even more as I began working at the Senior Center, I discovered a great deal of work had gone into preparing the way for me to work there.
