New faces join Richmond classrooms, offices
Richmond students will see new teachers and support staff across all grade levels this year after the district welcomed 18 hires during its annual New Staff Induction program.
On Aug. 7 and 8, the Richmond R-XVI School District held the two-day orientation at Richmond Middle School to introduce new staff to district policies, procedures, academic programs and resources.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Trey Cavanah noted the event focuses on preparing employees for success while avoiding information overload.
“As always, we are very excited to have our new staff begin with us here in Richmond,” said Cavanah. “These first few meetings, we try not to overwhelm our new people (especially those new to the education profession) with the ‘dos and don’ts’ of policies but instead focus on paths to successful strategies for learning and communicating as educators.”
The new hires include Kirbie Cantrell, third grade; Airanna Hoeppner, fourth grade;
Katherine Hensley, third grade; Samantha Mumm…
