Community Connections series highlights zucchini recipes
The Special Needs Services (SNS) team in Ray County recently showcased their culinary skills and community spirit during a vibrant and engaging cooking demonstration as part of the ongoing Community Connections series.
This series focuses on demonstrating affordable and creative ways to cook with seasonal produce, promoting healthy eating and family bonding. In their latest session, the team highlighted zucchini as the featured ingredient, inspiring attendees with a diverse five-recipe showcase. These recipes not only celebrated the rich flavors and versatility of zucchini but also reflected a deep connection to local family traditions, personal stories of dietary adjustments and transformative culinary experiences.
Held at the Ray County Library, the demonstration was led by SNS Director Suzan Breen and Office Manager Katie Jones.
