Bond amount holds for couple charged in elderly exploitation case

A Hardin couple has been denied a bond reduction after a judge declined to ease release conditions in their ongoing elder financial exploitation case. However, one was allowed a modification. Kirsten Hansuld, 34, is facing six felony charges, including two counts of financial exploitation of an elder or disabled person, two counts of filing false documents and two counts of stealing $25,000 or more, teller machine or contents. Kirsten’s husband, Trenton Hansuld, 31, is charged with eight felonies, including the same six charges as Kirsten, along with another count of filing false documents and one count of forgery. The pair recently appeared separately before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins for bond reduction hearings. Baskins declined to lower bond for Trenton and Kirsten, keeping the individual bond amounts at $250,000.
