City accepts Kice bid, continues fire services deal
A $12,000 bid for a city-owned lot on Kice Street led Richmond City Council’s latest approvals, with members authorizing the sale following a competitive sealed bid process.
The property at 204 Kice Street was released for bids and three offers were submitted. The highest bid was supported by a bank letter included in the meeting packet.
“We received three bids at the sealed bid, highest bidder being $12,000 from the bidder’s bank that’s attached,” stated City Administrator Tonya Willim. “We’re seeking approval for that bid amount and instruct the state administrator in agreement with that bidder, upon payment. At that time, we would bring back to you the contract and agreement with them at the next council meeting.”
Council approved the bid and authorized Willim to enter into agreement with the buyer per city policy. According to her written report, the city has generated approximately $14,000 in recent surplus property sales.
