Board reviews legislation, honors SSP growth

The Richmond R-XVI School Board renewed its $7,860 annual membership with the Missouri School Boards Association during its May meeting. Board members also received updates on state legislation, district finances, and the district’s alternative education program. One legislative item discussed was the likely passage of Senate Bill 63, which would allow homeschooled or family-paced students to participate in public school activities without meeting the current eligibility requirements set by the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
