Foreman retires after teaching generation of ag leaders

After more than four decades in agricultural education, including the last 10 years at Richmond High School, Charles Foreman is retiring with a legacy that stretches from the classroom to the county fairgrounds and into the lives of the students he taught to lead, build and grow. Foreman joined the Richmond R-XVI School District in 2015, bringing over three decades of experience with him. He began his career at the University of Missouri, where he taught lab sections for plant science and soils courses while completing his master’s degree in agricultural education. He then spent 30 years at East High School in Kansas City before accepting what would become his final teaching post in Richmond. “After Kansas City, I felt like I still wanted to teach agricultural education and Richmond had a long reputation for being a good agriculture program with a strong FFA chapter,” said Foreman.
