Women encouraged to turn attention inward
Too often, women put their own health at the bottom of the list – sandwiched between busy workdays, childcare, aging parents and community obligations. During Women’s Health Month, women across Ray County are encouraged to put themselves at the top, even just for one appointment or conversation.
That’s the message Ray County Hospital and Healthcare OB/GYN Dr.
Amanda Healy hopes will inspire women to turn their attention inward during May’s Women’s Health Month. By prioritizing health and well-being, even if just for a brief period, women can pave the way for lasting improvements in their overall wellness.
“Women are often caregivers who are tasked with taking care of others,” said Healy. “This month is a good reminder that taking care of yourself is also a priority. Like airplane emergency instructions, you must secure your own oxygen mask before helping your neighbors. The better mental and physical shape you are in, the better caregiver you can be.”
