Linda Sharon Perks, 79, of Richmond passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Linda was born May 14, 1945, in rural Richmond, the daughter of Aubrey Kenneth “Ted” and Anna Mae (Davis) Lee.
She was united in marriage to Owen Lee Perks of Camden on July 23, 1964. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2013.
Survivors include one son, Kenton Scott (Kerri) Perks of Kansas City; and two daughters, Lisa (Tom) Millsap and Leann (Kevin) Jenkins, both of Richmond. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Pete (Allie) Castilleja, Gavin (Dutches) Castilleja, Holly Wollard, Kristin VanTrump, Kaylee VanTrump, Peyton Perks, Kaden Perks and Konnor Perks; and five step-grandchildren, Korbin (James) Kirkendoll, Brogan (Scott) McKown, Hannah (Bradley) Duncan, Sabin Millsap and Jerad (Tonya) Jenkins.
She also is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Braylon Castilleja, Brylee Castilleja, Bowen Castilleja, Caige Castilleja, Amirah Castilleja and Blakely Castilleja, Sheridon Newberry and Zoe Jenkins; a sister, Shirley Judd of Richmond; and a niece, Marcia Judd of Richmond.
In addition to her husband, Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Floyd Judd; and niece, Teresa Judd.
Linda was raised and educated in the area of her birth, growing up on a farm north of Richmond. She was a proud graduate of Richmond High School.
In addition to raising her family, Linda worked at Price Candy Co., Richmond High School and the Ray County Sheriff’s Department.
She had a love for travel and spent many winters in Texas as a snowbird alongside her husband, and sister and brother-in-law. Her travels also took her abroad to Italy, France and Ireland – experiences she cherished deeply.
Linda was a dedicated volunteer with the Ray County Hospital Auxiliary and a faithful member of Heartland Chapel. Known for her generous spirit and can-do attitude, she was always ready to lend a hand wherever one was needed.
Linda treasured time spent with her family, especially during the holidays. Her Christmas gatherings, Fourth of July celebrations and beloved Easter egg hunts created lasting memories for those she loved.
She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Visitation with funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with the visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the services to follow at 11. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
