Larry James Brown, 83, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2025. He passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Aug. 22, 1941, to P.J. and Irene (Lee) Brown in Kansas City.

On July 7, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sandra (O’Neal) Brown. To this marriage, two sons were born, Mark David and Kevin James.

Larry worked at Ford Motor Co. for 31 years, retiring in 1994.

Larry loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing, farming or going to the lake with the family.

Larry was everyone’s “go-to” guy. He loved helping people.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Creighton; sister, Vicki Schaefer; brothers-in-law, Rusty Britt, Jack Hyder and John O’Neal; and nephew, Eric Britt.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years; and sons, Mark of Hamilton and Kevin of Kansas City. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Cora Brown (Max), Keegan Brown, Kobie Brown (Jessica), Tanner Brown and Brady Brown; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Emerson, Ella and Alden. He also is survived by his sisters, Norma (Phil), Sherry and Janice; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Larry was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Memorial contributions are suggested to Southpoint Cemetery of Orrick or the American Cancer Society.
