Matthew Swigert is back as Orrick’s golf coach. Swigert led the program in 2023. Maddie Slough led the Bearcats last season. There are 14 Bearcats out for golf for Swigert’s return. That total is super-thrilling, he said. “We’re going to have an A team, a B team and also a C team,” he said recently at the Excelsior Springs Golf Course, where Orrick plays its home matches. The turnout includes returning players such as Maddox Peterson and Jacob McElwee. It also includes such newcomers as seniors Tucker Greer and Logan Smith.
