Joyce Louise (Outersky) Jellum, 92, of Richmond passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at Riverbend Heights Health and Rehabilitation in Lexington.
Joyce was born April 1, 1932, in Richmond, the daughter of Jerry and Lorena S. (Griffin) Outersky.
She was united in marriage to Martin Don Jellum of Richmond on Dec. 9, 1951. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2009.
Survivors include her son, Terry Michael (Joyce) Jellum of Richmond; three grandsons, Travis Jellum, Chad Jellum and Brandon Carr; and great-grandson, Spencer Jellum.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Danny Martin Jellum; daughter, Julie Loraine (Jellum) Carr; brother, Jerry Outersky Jr.; and sister, Delores Kathleen (Outersky) Skiles.
Joyce was raised and educated in her hometown, graduating from Richmond High School.
She had a natural talent for cooking and took great pride in preparing meals for those she loved. Joyce found joy in visiting with friends and family, cherishing the moments spent together. Above all, she treasured the time she shared with her family.
As a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, Joyce’s faith was an important part of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
